This hand-painted in-frame beaded shaker kitchen is designed around one of the most distinctive backdrops in any project we have taken on: a full swimming pool visible directly beyond the kitchen space. The vibrant blue accent running through the cabinetry was chosen not for its own sake but to draw a direct visual connection between the kitchen interior and the pool outside, bringing the energy of the garden into the room.
The kitchen occupies a linear part of the space, and the design brief was to soften that linearity without compromising the contemporary feel of the room. Curved units, radius pilasters and a circular breakfast bar were introduced to round off the harder edges and give the space a sense of movement that the straight lines of the room would otherwise deny it.

LITTLEWICK GREEN
The island bulkhead is the centrepiece of the design. Its surface is deliberately rippled, a detail conceived to do two things at once: to echo the movement of water in the pool outside and to represent the energy and warmth of a kitchen that is genuinely used, enjoyed and lived in by a whole family. A slated shaker island sits alongside the in-frame beaded cabinetry, the two styles working together to create a kitchen that feels considered at every level of detail.
